We've recently split our group content into two channels based on whether the content is "original" (i.e. yours) or not. Though technically Facebook groups, we encourage members to think of the two groups as "channels" of content to which you can subscribe. Here's why.

DUDES WITH DOGS® - GLOBAL (61,000+ members). 100% ORIGINAL CONTENT from our members! Private, semi-public forum. Guidelines for behavior, but intense, fun, and addictive. No ads, unless approved by DWD. Posts require approval. Will probably be your favorite thing on Facebook!
DUDES WITH DOGS® - SHARES New channel for shared content like news stories, viral videos, memes, jokes, products, PSAs, and shelter dogs. Anything by companies like Buzzfeed, UNILAD, The Dodo, or Upworthy, etc. Or share your original content here if you're trying to make your dog into a star! Posts require approval.
DWD LOCAL: Regional info, events, meet ups, and community.
Attachment Unavailable error. Unfortunately, there's an annoying error that sometimes happens when sharing from your personal Facebook page to the group. Learn how to avoid it.
Animal abuse posts. Sometimes people think it's productive to share animal abuse posts in the group. Usually, it's not.
Controversial posts. We find that the same topics always seem to cause fighting. Be responsible for what you post.

Appearances can be deceiving. Does it sometimes seem like the group is mostly dead dogs and shirtless selfies? That's because those posts tend to get the most likes.
